What does EWTA do?
The detailed agenda is agreed with the Membership and implemented by the Board of Directors and includes:
- Opportunities
- Promoting energy efficiency of POE/POU equipment by lobbying for national regulation
- Promoting direct and indirect cost benefits of POE/POU equipment
- Identifying ecological and health benefits of treated water
- Product promotion and consumer awareness
- Education and Certification
- Challenges:
- EU Commission Regulations and Directives such as the CPD, REACH, RoHS, WEEE etc.
- EU Commission involvement in reacting to national standards and regulations
- CEN activities, such as TC164 and its associated Working Groups
- Addressing issues such as misinformation relating to softened water and corrosion
